5 Two Piece Free Float Extended Handguard MI-20XXM

Follow the instructions on the film provided by MI. I recommend removing the gas tube as it removes any possibility of damage. Wrap the barrel and receiver with rags. I also wrapped the areas with an old leather cinch latigo. Cutting the delta ring with a rotary tool is easy. Removing the end cap behind the FSP is another issue. On a Colt barrel the end cap is not flimsy, it's hard ass steel. Bend/break sections till you get enough clearance. It's not coming out. The free float handguard is very solid and improves rifle utility and gets rid of the ugly plastic Colt handguards. Absolutely love it. Fit is perfect.

Excellent fit. Excellent look. I shot the rifle after mounting to make sure it was zeroed with my optic and it was a pleasure. My son then shot it and fell in love with it . I ended up giving it to him lol.

Really satisfied with this product. Very nice fitting and looks great! Install prep was a little bit of a pain but im also not an armorer. So beware and be careful if you're doing this install yourself. But overall great product!

For a very long time I had a very sad LWRCi upper sitting around because of, well, reasons. Enter MWI, with this handguard. I will admit I didn’t read the fine print and it took a bit to get this installed, but once I did, and I got to the range, it was truly a pleasant experience. The LWRCi upper chugged along (it’s the piston type, not the DI type even though I know technically….yada yada), even with low powered Tula ammunition. Seriously, zero issues, it was amazing. Accuracy seems fine, i was only shooting iron sights, but being able to hold the handguards and not have them melt my hand was nice. Good quality, and if you take your time on the install, it won’t be too bad. Remember to remove the delta ring, the spring, AND the front metal retainers for the old handguards.
