5 of 5 A Real Game-Changer September 22, 2021
Reviewer: Mike
I gotta say, you guys hit this one out of the park.  Now I know this is a very specialized application, but it’s also a growing segment of the industry, so I think you nailed it with the new Nightfighter series. I had been using your Combat series rails, which are very good overall, just a little light with a LAM and light on there.  It can flex just enough that you are either touching the gas block, or the M-Lok screws (if you haven’t bothered grinding them down).  So not only are you throwing the laser off, but potentially affecting accuracy as well. Because of this issue, I had switched over to a MK 16 Geiselle rail, which was an improvement, but there were issues there as well.  Ergonomically, it’s so blocky around the bbl nut, it’s not as “handy” as a MI rail, and it still flexed slightly.

The new Night Fighter series solves these issues.  You guys really upped your game on this one.  You have matched if not slightly exceeded the MK16 rail.  The new bbl nut and the beefed-up rear section combine to make a rock-solid mounting platform, with very minimal flex.  So I have the “at home” feel of the MI rail, with the increased strength necessary to run lights n lasers. I honestly think this is a real game-changer, because when you combine the added rigidity for active IR, with A LOT better price point, that allows you to outfit multiple rifles, you become the industry leader.

So Pros:
-Added rigidity by far
-All slots now aligned and squared-off muzzle end
-Sustained holes in top rail sides for cable wraps to manage wire runs
-New lighten top rail
-Sustained overall slim, rounded feel

-Would prefer holes in bbl nut and re-designed nut wrench to make torqueing bbl nut on easier.  The open-ended slots are easier to slip off, harder to apply more torque.
-Would prefer tanodized but duracoat works nicely as well.  Even if I void the warranty I have to have a flat finish.
-Would like just a smidge extra length to cover more bbl up to can.
