5 of 5 Best designed Receiver Rod January 30, 2019
Reviewer: bfoosh006 from United States
I have tried the other brands... the Midwest Receiver Rod is the best one I have used out of the bunch.

The Brownells sucked because of no vise flats...and frankly is a little to short.

The Geiselle was a big step up because of the vise flats and added OAL... but without the charging handle valley that Midwest has... it would tend to spin if I didn't keep it in the correct position.. and if it would shift ( downward ) while in the vise, I had a few uppers bonk to the ground. Sure my fault, but still annoying.

The Midwest, with its CH valley addition, makes for a much stronger setup... allowing me to remove that one stubborn barrel nut, that I wasn't comfortable doing with the Geissele rod just holding onto the receiver extension.

In other words ... the added CH valley portion adds considerable support.

Wish the Midwest version had been available when I bought the other 2 brands... because I wouldn't have wasted money on those.
