4 of 5 After a small modification it's perfect February 9, 2022

I like the look of this handguard better, so I went with it, although the wobble in the front only goes away if you stake the tenon. Which means you have to remove the magtube. Or you modify one little part: The screws that hold the guard to the tenon. If they are long enough, the tenon not just centers itself on the magtube, it also prevents the guard from moving. A #10-32x1/4" socket set screw (instead of the sling stud) screwed all the way down to the magtube gives it extra stability. It's rock solid now, I'm very happy. This is such an easy solution, I can't believe it doesn't come with longer screws and an additional set screw in the front. 5 stars for the part itself, very nice machining and finish.

Great quality! Still waiting for the rifle to install. Finish is to be expected from MI. I can’t wait to get it installed and get rounds down range!

5 of 5 Ez install,looks good, well built,high functioning February 4, 2020

There's a lot of aftermarket support for other part of the Henry rifles, so it's nice to see Midwest get into this platform with their handguards. MI's handguards have a really clean look for modern projects as well, not to mention the high ability to customize how ever you like after installation. Speaking of installation, it was quite simple (make sure to buy the adapter if you're rifle needs it). The build quality seems to be quite good- I don't have any issue with wobble and whatnot, and it feels pretty good to the touch. Basically I was happy enough to leave a nice review if that tells you anything about how much I like the darn thing!

4 of 5 Once it's on. . . March 25, 2019

The four stars is a problem with the rifle, rather than Midwest's product.

Getting the retaining ring off by disconnecting the magazine tube from the barrel took a visit to a gunsmith on a brand new Henry .44 Mag All Weather.  Otherwise, it was doable and a good opportunity to get to know the rifle.

Once it's on, it's fine and it carries the sling just fine.  And it looks great--draws a lot of looks at the range.
