4 Long ejection port rod

This item works well. However. It should be included with the MEI handguards that require them.

5 Rod not needed for all .308s.

The extended port cover rod is not needed for all .308s. I did not need it for the Aero M5 upper and the 18 inch MI .250 tang rail. There is some movement back and forth but nowhere near the point of it coming out. If I recall correctly the extended rod is only needed for certain makes of .308 rifles, but I don't recall which. Ed to add: I just did another build on the Aero M5 upper and on this particular upper, I DID need the longer ejection port rod. I am unsure how the first one I did had a longer rod with it but the second one I did had a shorter rod. So, check before you complete your build or you might have to break it down again. Not that breaking it down is any hill for a climber but still, better to do it right the first time so double check if you need the longer rod first.

2 Why not just include it with MWI rails?

MWI makes top notch stuff, love my hand guard on my AR-10. I'm a little annoyed that I need to spend some more money to make it work correctly, just include this with your kits.

I didnt Realize I needed this until after receiving all my parts for my 15 inch M Lok guardrail. went on very easy works great

Love the .308 long ejection port rod. Easy to fit and works great. It fits well with the M-Lok 15 handguard.
